For the interim storage of some parts and materials for a project at the St. Bartholomä site in Western Styria, an interim storage facility in Gleisdorf is being utilized, ensuring optimal logistics. The transport of goods from St. Bartholomä to Gleisdorf and back is carried out in close cooperation with the Styrian logistics company Jerich Transport GmbH, using green energy. Jerich Transport, as a logistics partner of PAYER, is responsible for the storage, supply, and delivery of these goods. They also support us in our way of sustainable transport.
A specially branded electric truck is being used for this purpose. With a range of approximately 300 km, it easily covers the short distances from Gleisdorf to St. Bartholomä and back. This innovative solution consistently implements the sustainable concept of emission reduction through electric mobility. The use of green energy in sustainable transport significantly contributes to reducing the ecological footprint and underscores PAYER’s commitment to environmental protection and sustainability.
“Through our partnership with Jerich and the use of green energy in transportation, we are not only sending an important message for environmental protection but also demonstrating that economic success and ecological responsibility can go hand in hand,” says CEO Michael Viet.
PAYER was recently honored with the prestigious EcoVadis Bronze Seal and is committed to continually improving its sustainability efforts.
